In this post similar to my Production Diary I will demonstrate the behind the scenes of my production, except this is to show demonstration of my technical skills.
Phase one: Raw footage and Cropping + Merging clips
The first thing I did was to click the I Movie app icon on my phone then start a new project, whilst starting a new project I needed to choose what clips I can use for my project, once selected I have merged and added new raw footage, this includes cropping and editing clips, the app features is pretty basic but these editing tools gets the job done.
Phase two: Changing image color
There is an option when adding clips to change the color and display, this feature is great if you would want to change the tone of the film, for instance I chose one called ‘Camo’ to give the whole scene a dark and dramatic kinda vibe.

Phase 03: Voice over and audio
After adding and merging clips it is time for some audio, in order to record real time audio I simply press the mic icon and then the record button, when started it gives at least 3 seconds to prepare for recording, once done I simplify press stop recording and merge audio clips.
Here’s another useful tool for audio, when selecting an MP4 clip you can have the option to detach audio, this tool allows audio to be separated from its actual main source, it is how I gained some of the sound effects by splitting audio, once that process is done you should see a big blue bar underneath the original video source, this indicates that the separation is a success, this allows me to edit the audio in any way I wish without affecting the video itself.

Extras: Downloading and using other sources
There is a converter I use that allows me to retrieve videos from YouTube and merge them in videos.
As normal you can use the browser in the app and search for any video you want and either use a link or manually search using any keyword, once you find the video you are looking for it gives you the option to download or Copy URL, I used the download option .
Your video should be found either at the files and Downloads, you can export the downloaded footage and send it to I movie which allows me to merge them in the video, please note: I only use it for mostly sound effects, like I mentioned before about detaching audio from its main source you can separate them, remove clip but you get to keep the sound only, it’s practically useful for using clean quality sound effects.
